Position: Stephen Lenoir acts as a guide, chaperone and advisor to newcomers to London. His services include helping them make contacts in both the mortal world and among the British Kindred, navigating the more dangerous domains, finding temporary or permanent accommodations, procurement of prey and brokering deals with the local undead. He is an elder in his own right and a long standing member of London's Night Society. He is equally well known in the other European capitals as a facilitator who can make arrangements for transport in and out of London; it is not uncommon for him to arrange the transfer and installation of British Kindred into foreign fiefs at a more than reasonable cost in boons.

Appearance: Stephen is a modestly attractive man in his middle to late thirties. Physically, he appears to have lived a soft life, which is not to say he is over weight, for he is spare of form without being particularly thin; he could be described as average in terms of his physique. He is a pale Caucasian, with watery blue eyes and pale blond hair; he is most likely descended from Anglo-saxon stock. He dresses with style in the unobtrusive fashion of a British bank manager and has a meticulously groomed, if sedate appearance.

Background: He is referred to you, as he is to most new Kindred to London, as a guide to newcomers to the City; his services come with the modest fee of a 2pt boon, which he considers a retaining fee while he helps tourists or transplants adapt to their new surroundings. Among the neonates and ancilla of the City, he has a sterling reputation as he has provided this service for centuries and he may be the best known Kindred in the City next to the Prince. Stephen tends to deflect questions about himself and his past; all that he will say is that at one time he too was a stranger lost on the streets of London and that he knows what it is to be a stranger in a strange city. It quickly becomes obvious that he has no political allegiances save for an outspoken support for Mithras that appears to be based on genuine loyalty; in all other respects, Stephen appears to avoid political entanglements with skill and grace. Digging into Stephen's past can be expensive, the neonates and ancilla of the City will obviously take a dim view of such investigations, while the elders of London are inclined to charge hefty boons for aiding tourists and truly weighty boons for information on any London Kindred. In either case, the rumor of such inquires will likely get back to Stephen Lenoir and no further aid will be forthcoming from him.

Personality: Stephen has an air of casual professionalism, offset by a hearty sense of humor, which is a rare thing in the Undead. He is generous in the time and effort that he affords to acclimating a newcomer to London. Stephen is strait forward in stating that if his client has come to London for violence, that he will take no part in it and that he doesn't wish to be involved. Equally, he will take no sides in subversive activities, political ploys or acts of vengeance. He doesn't hide the mercenary nature of his work, but clothes it in professional courtesy and surprisingly straight forward negotiation for one of the Kindred.
