Sobriquet: Saint Just, or Justin

Appearance: Saint Just or St Just, is a beautiful young man, 27 years old, with long flowing light brown hair and blue eyes, which troubles so much young ladies. His stare, sometimes fanatical, as well as his mysterious smile can start waves of terror among the mortals, and anxiety among the Cour, and the Grand Cour.

It's, in facts, the only one person Villon fears, and St Just was one of the reasons (through he will never admit it) to make Villon accept the Republic after the "Commune".

But charmed by his beauty, his charisma and his apparent innocence, the Clan Toreador as a whole isn't hostile against this dangerous person.

Behavior: St Just is confident in himself, bewitching and like sometimes joking. But when he talks about liberty and virtue, his fanatiscism become visible. But this fanatiscism is really contagious, and he is the only Idealist who is respected by all the Iconoclast (in fact, most of them fear him more than death!).

The Individualists look him like one of them, seeing his hands behind most old and present crisis. The Idealist see him as a marvelous but dangerous theorician.

He knows all that, and play in consequence...

History: Louis Antoine Saint-Just was a french politician born in Decize (1767-1794). Deputy at the Convention (1792), lawyer, admiring Robespierre, he will become famous after his oration at Louis the 16th's judgement. He will then become member of the Montagne and of the Club des Jacobins politic parties, he is partisan of an egalitarian republic, and so, a virtuous one. Member of the Comité de Salut Public (30 march 1793), he helps for the fall of the "Girondins" and become the theorician and the Archangel of the Terreur (Terror). Superintendant of the Army, he shows himself implacable with pusillanimous or corrupt officials, and contribute to the victory of Fleurus (26 June 1794). Author of the "Theory of the Revolution", he is drawn in the fall of Robespierre and condemned to the Guillotine. The night before his execution, a strange man came in his cell (26 July 1794).

He proved him that he and his "Clan" were behind the Republic and the "Salut Public". But some exterior corrupts were behind the corruption of the Revolution. This mysterious person said him that he knew that Robespierre was only a puppet, that St Just was the real mind behind the Terreur. The Terreur should have succeeded to purify all this corruption a given back all its virtues to the Republic. He gave him the Choice between lady Guillotine and eternal life.

It was a double (some say of poor quality) who offered his head to the Republic, at the side of Robespierre, with his gravely injured jaw.

St Just stayed in the shadows some years, like a dark death angel destroying those who had corrupted his Republic. He helped to end the Republic, liking better to see it destroyed than corrupted (he provoked the Final Death of more than an handful Sabbat (and even some Cainites he strongly suspected of corruption by the Setites). He even discovered the existence of Madame Guil, and her doing in the Revolution. Learning long after that she was Toreador Justicar was sweet indeed in the ears of St Just. The two had worked together to reveal the Diabolist past of a french Ventrue Elder. Too bad the two separated in tense conditions, St Just reproaching her of being too much elder-like (and Madame Guil saying the same to St Just!).

He appearded at the Cour in 1805, the year after the Crowning of Napoleon, at the celebration given by François Villon for his own crowning as the Prince of Paris. The Toreador was really surprised to see him...

Even if his talents of scheming helped him cover his tracks, he was behind all the Revolutions of 1830 and 1848. When the Anarchs and the Brujah started the Commune in 1871, he was so sickened to see all the chaos resulting of it that he joined with the other Ancients when they asked the immunity by innocence to François Villon. He remained in Paris, heir of a destroyed Clan, and he organized its return and all the crisis behind it. Mai 68 (May 1968) was one of his successes, even if he must thank Benedicte and Vincent, who showed themselves as himself stayed in the shadows.

Since then, he continue to intrigue, all the while keeping his front of innocence and respectability, like the angel from whom he takes the face. The Setite are his sworn enemies, and he will go to great lenghts to destroy one, or to expose her corruption to the other Camarilla Kindred. It had little effects on the already known setites: The parisian ones were considered very polite ones, and socially interesting by the Courtisans...
