Michael Ogden Davies
Appearance: Michael Ogden Davies is every inch the prom king, and captain of the high-school football (soccer) team. His lean 5'3" frame is capped by a perfect wave of blond hair, shining blue eyes, and a smile that melts women and tempts men. Though he never exactly "blends in," Michael generally wears clothing that is most reminiscent of the students of prep schools or expensive private universities. When associating with kindred, he often wears expensive, well tailored suits, with a flair for style that is rarely seen among the Ventrue.
History: Michael's quick wit and flashing smile caught the eye of Lady Namia Vincent, one of London's horde of Ventrue with some claim to mortal nobility. The socialite took him as a member of her "herd," and the young man was occasionally seen as her mortal escort at Elysium functions. So it was that he was there when the Sabbat came for his lover and her friends.
Cast aside but not particularly hurt, Michael watched in horror as an eight-foot-tall nightmare tore into his beloved. Most of the surviving mortals were gibbering or wetting themselves, overlooked by the desperate combatants. Not so Michael: He pulled himself up, took up a fallen knife, and buried it in the back of the Zulo's neck. This provided Namia with the opportunity she needed to escape.
Smitten with her young rescuer, Namia brought him with her to Leeds, where she hoped to find succor with a sibling who had moved there a century earlier. Things went well enough, and when Lady Vincent's machinations earned her the position of Reeve of York (the previous having fallen to a Sabbat raid), she embraced her young lover as a sign of her new prestige.
Today, Michael KNOWS that there are monsters out there. He believes fully that he is among the chosen defenders of the world against the servants of the Daeva, and is intent on doing as much as he can to defeat them. After all, he has seen, with his own eyes, the face of evil, and even as a mortal, he learned that evil can be defeated.
Recent Events: Embraced more for his charm and looks than for his ability, Michael's presence has begun to wear on his sire, with the two confined to a town the size of York. Rather than alienate him, she has encouraged his crusading side, and helped him make contacts with like-minded young Ventrue. The Scottish Skirmish School is perfect for both of them: Michael will gain experience and ability that could prove invaluable as a defender of York, and in the mean time, he will be periodically out of her hair. She is not yet aware that he has become part of an active military organization.
His Death: Michael disappeared during an attack by dozens of cannon-fodder on Birmingham. His corpse was found in a basement three blocks away. He had been diablerized. Necromancy revealed the face of the culprit, and justice was brutally swift.
