Sobriquet: Annie
Appearance: Annie is 5'3", and before the shooting had a healthy figure going to soft and motherly. She has the same light brown hair as Tremen with their mothers dark brown eyes.
Behavior: Annie is sharply intelligent, with a gift for languages like her brother. She grew up bookish and sweet, living most of her life in the collegiate setting, immersed in her work. She studied how to be a mom when she became pregnant, and was struggling to be as dedicated a mom as she was a scholar of Greek texts.
History: Loren is the youngest daughter, in her generation, of the Hall family in Chicago. She was born in 1957 and is ten years younger than Tremen. After gaining her doctorate in ancient Greek literature at University of Chicago, Annie becoming something of a minor celebrity due to the quality of her authentication work. She married Tremen’s best friend Carter in 1987. She conceived Callista the same year and Jason Reese two years later. Annie was shot in the head on October 29th, 1999, but somehow survived the wound and is in a coma at University of Chicago Medical Center.
Recent Events: Shortly after Annie was shot in the head, she entered a terminal coma from which she was never expected to awaken. The elder Greek Brujah Critias had other plans for Annie and as his ancient vitae entered her body, she began to recover, slowly. Sadly, Critias wasn't Annie's only Kindred visitor, for the Maureen O'Leery learning of Annie's condition through her medical contacts, took steps to have Annie moved from Chicago University Hospital to Chicago-Read Mental Health Center. When Critias' blood wore off, Annie woke up completely healed, but imprisoned in Maureen O'Leary's dungeon. There she was questioned (interrogated) and examined (tortured) by Maureen and her childer. Night and day became interchangeable in Annie's prison until one of Maureen's childer accidentally revealed the nature of the Kindred. The elder Malkavian used Dementation to curse Annie with a variety of mental illnesses and she further altered Annie's mind by feeding her lies about vampires in general and Malkavians specifically. When Tremen finally returned to Chicago, Maureen in an excitable fit, Embraced Annie to punish her brother. Annie had come to believe she was completely insane when Tremen broke into Maureen's haven and freed her. The last few nights have been both frightening and exhilarating as Annie is finally free of the dungeon and now travel's with her brother, but she is terribly confused about being a vampire and what that means and wishes to return to the comfort of Chicago and academic study and teaching.
