Friedensrichter Hermann.jpg

Quote: “I will be watching, so tread lightly.”

Appearance: Hermann has an extremely stoic and slightly predatory bearing. His tall and well-muscled frame is highlighted by his sharp features, cold blue eyes and close-cropped dark hair. His wears a sleeveless smock of pale linen, short breeches of dressed hide, and soft boots fastened with leg-bandages, and is always immaculate in appearance with a large plaid cloak fastened with an elaborate silver brooch. His clothing is offset by a beautifully worked leather weapon-belt worn around his waist and wherein his broad sword and hunting dagger hang. He carries himself with a strong air of authority that could be confused with arrogance.

Behavior: Friedensrichter Hermann is terse and slightly abrasive in his mannerisms – he’s the epitome of the Germanic ideal, a strong and silent warrior that becomes more gregarious in the heat of battle.

History: A native of the cold forests of Norther Germania, Hermann was born into a warlike clan, and Hermann did exactly what was expected of him and became a warrior and mercenary. He excelled at his profession and had risen in the ranks of his mercenary band when his homosexuality was revealed. He was banished from his mercenary band and sent home, only to be disowned by his traditionalist family. With nothing left for him in the North, he left his village seeking a new life. On the way south to the Roman borderlands, he was attack by a pack of wolves who killed his horse not far outside of secluded Wolfsheim.

Feeling as if it was part of the gods' plan for him to be there, Hermann took up residence in the town and ended up as entrenched in Wolfsheim as those who were born there. His skill set and mentality led Wilhelm to approach and offer Hermann the long-vacant position of village Friedensrichter (keeper of the peace).

Having been in Wolfsheim for five years now, he has been searching for a way to free the town of the werewolves’ tyranny, but he hasn’t found a plan that he believes is foolproof enough to proceed. He has grown quite fond of the locals, even developing a fatherly relationship to Johanna, Annaleisa’s daughter. They are often seen together foraging or hunting, and Johanna is one of the very few people who know the truth about Hermann’s sexuality.

Nature: Architect. Hermann hates chaos and disorganization. He believes to succeed in anything, one must have a plan. No decision should ever be taken lightly.

Powers: Unknown.
