Sobriquet: Hacen

Appearance: Dark hair, blue eyes, Hacen appears as a young Berber man with very dark skin, and an unsettling aura. He's quite beautiful but it's rather difficult to appreciate that when he looks at you with those eyes. He always wears stealthy black clothes. People who know him tend to compare him with a ninja...

Behavior: The Gianluca problem must be solved, no matter the consequences. You did not forget many thing about your past as a mortal, but you regularly experience horrible nightmares into which you're torturing a woman to death only to discover that she is you. This can be the cause, sometimes, of irritation that you seek the master. Anyway, you are Black Hand, and as such, you do your work fanatically.

History: Born in Algiers in 1800, Hacen had a quiet childhood. At that time, Algiers was the capital city of European piracy, thus the port was the heart of the city and its people. Hacen's father held a tavern on the port, so the little one soon became fascinated by the sea (yes, I know that in Muslim territory alcohol is prohibited. Nevertheless, pirates, even Muslim ones, did drink and not small quantities. Moreover, as any great center, Algiers was full of stranger and their money was more than welcomed even though it meant violating some religious obligation). He hoped he'll get the opportunity to travel but he knew his wish wasn't approved by his father. However, he felt in love with the daughter of a rich merchant. Though it was difficult at first, both families accepted the situation and the marriage was celebrated.

Of course, it didn't please people to see the young man taking his wife with him on his boat. But the young lovers didn't care about others opinion. The sailors themselves were not conformist people so they admitted - grudgingly - the woman on board. During that time, Hacen learned the art of fighting and became quite good and respected.

It was a good time; of course, it had to end. For years, the pirates were weapons in the hands of the Lasombra Antitribu against their Sabbat counterparts. In Spain, Archbishop Monçada decided that enough was enough: he started what he hoped to be the final war

Hacen's father in law was the ghoul of a Lasombra Antitribu. Thus, his fleet became a target. One night, Hacen's boat was attacked; the opponents were few, so it was decided to counter-attack quickly by boarding the attackers: the trap was closed. Indeed, the attackers were all vampires. Hacen's folks were all quickly slaughtered save his wife.

At first, they had some hope as they thought their aggressors would ask a ransom. But they quickly discovered the true nature of the crewmen and fell into despair. Among the vampires was Kamel, an Assamite Antitribu. During the fight, he had spotted Hacen as the best fighter. After some reflection, he decided to embrace him.

But they were on sea, thus giving him the Creation Rites was quite impossible. Kamel opted for an other method. He embraced him, giving the minimal amount of blood necessary. Then he let him with his wife. He quickly frenzied and attacked her. Watching him, Kamel stopped him from killing the mortal. Instead, he healed her and put her back in cell... Hacen fought the best he could, until the Beast took him over and attacked his wife again. Kamel remade the process again and again until Hacen lost all his humanity and cut his wife in little pieces...

Kamel then took him and brainwashed him into forgetting his wife and the love he had for her, wiping all traces of the human he once was. He was the introduced into the Sabbat and fought the way Assamite do: fanatically. But eventually, the war led to nothing and the French Toreador picked up the remains of the battle when the French army captured Algiers in 1830.

Wandering across the world, he made a name for himself and finally was required to serve in Mexico. There he became a member of the Black Hand, forming a mixed Pack of Black Hand Members, Inquisitors and Paladins, travelling the world to fix loyalty problems within distant packs. Finally, he received the order regroup and go to Paris to investigate the local Sabbat situation. He knows its the most dangerous mission he ever had: indeed, he doesn't underestimate the might of Gianluca...

Recent Events: Hacen was sent there because of the power and because of the lineage of Gianluca. Indeed, Gianluca is the Childe of the deceased Francesca, and of Montano the Betrayer. And despite the presence of the Sabbat since the 1989 revolution, Paris became one of the greatests strongholds of the Camarilla. The Regent believes a Camarilla Elder to be behind it all, or even, perhaps Montano himself! Hacen had so chosen divided his Pack in two parts, the first showing some difficulty in functionning, and the other spying the Dark Freedon Pack altogether, to discover if someone controls it, and who...

His last missions were so succesful Hacen attracted the attention of the Black Hand Seraph Jalan-Aajav, who wanted to know if Hacen had enough power to back up his wits. Easily defeated, Hacen fought well enough to attract the secret admiration of the Gangrel Antitribu, who acts now as his Mentor. This mission, Jalan-Aajav believes, should ferret out a cowardly Elder with probably too mich Generation for his own good. And anyway, should Gianluca be the betrayer/inapt leader he appears to be, Hacen was given the right to Diablerize him.

Hacen discovered a beautifully crafted sword in the Chantry of a Tremere Elder who failed to aknowledge the superiority of the Sabbat in the city soon enough. As the Blood of the Tremere course in his veins, he now hold the deadly rapier, discarding his own scimitar. The Rapier does Aggravated Damage.
