Gloria Alder

Appearance: An elegant woman in her forties, Gloria can blend into any corporate or upper-class crowd in England. She traditionally wears her long blond hair in a bun, and wears understated, fashionable clothing designed to de-emphasize her figure and native beauty. She may not be as naturally gifted at "turning it on" as she was a decade ago, but she is certainly more practiced at getting what she wants out of it.
Background: As a secretary for the HR department of an (unnamed) corporate titan, Gloria's talent for ferreting out all the dirty little secrets didn't go unnoticed. Her boss gave her a promotion, and sent her to school. In gratitude, she learned to keep the secrets she discovered. By the time she was 35, Gloria was a senior assistant to the VP of security, charged with ferreting out spies and ensuring that her company's secrets, be they corporate or personal, remained secret.
Adele Pennington ruined Gloria's life, then gave her an new one. As an agent for a rival company, Adele infiltrated Gloria's security, compromised several of the executives under Gloria's protection, and made off with enough to ensure that her victim had no choice but to sell out at a discount to Adele's patron. Gloria, of course, lost her job and her reputation, and faced criminal investigation that lasted several years.
Recognizing talent, Adele offered Gloria a job running her own security. Without any other prospects, Gloria entered a new world where the stakes - and the powers - are that much higher. Although initially leery of her new employer, Gloria has developed a deep respect for Adele. In turn, when Adele needed backup, she felt that a level head and wary pair of eyes would be more important than another gun-toting vampiric thug.
