Glasgow / Toreador

Frederic of Paris (le Parisien), is the eldest Toreador in Glasgow. At first glance, he seems the archetypical poseur dilettante, speaking with a high lilting lisp, and walking with an exaggerated, effeminate spring in his step. He is a past master of the back-handed compliment.

Frederic came to Glasgow after being sired in Paris. It is unclear why he left, but a less-than-noble birth and insufficiently thick skin may have played their roles. It is certain, however, that he thrives in the less intense social environment of Glasgow: His is often THE opinion that counts in Elysium. Of all the vampires in Glasgow, he is probably closest to Magdalena Blanchard, the keeper of Elysium.

Influence:
Visitors to Glasgow often refer to him as "Primogen," and he effectively holds that position, though Glasgow has no formal council. He is well connected to Toreador throughout Britania, France, and beyond, and can call in favors from surprising sources.

Frederic's influence is most often noticed in the older parts of the city, and in the shipyards, where designs by his favorite sculptures figure prominently into architecture, urban art, and more fanciful ocean craft. However, he considers himself to be the sole upholder of artistic culture in Glasgow, and makes an effort to patronize all types of art, favoring the classics when he has no real passion of his own.

Appearance:
Frederic is tall, and thin, with flashing blue eyes and elaborately styled hair that most often is a sandy blond. He is fond of diaphanous, thin layers of pastel shirts and pants, and his shoe collection must be the envy of even Imelda Marcos.

Behavior: Frederic usually affects a magnanimous mien; he is bring the art and culture of Paris to the hinterlands. He often speaks of his home, but it is apparent from his references that he has not returned to his sire's side in some time. He is either challenging or excessively courteous to visiting Toreador.
