Toreador Elizabeth Renault2.jpg

Sobriquet: Eliza

Appearance: Tall, curvy, golden. Even as a vampire her skin glows a beautiful golden tanned color, her golden hair accented with darker strands. Eliza has beautiful blue eyes, and a perfect bow of a mouth. Most mortals want to bed her...if only they knew what that meant...

Behavior: Eliza is sultry and sensuous. She never hurries, never rushes. If she moves a finger it is to attract the attention of someone she is baiting. Everyone sees a passionate, driven woman, few ever see the cold creature that lives inside her mind. Eliza is a social spider, tying up her prey, watching the unsuspecting stumble into her web.

History: Eliza was born Elizabeth Belagris, child of Augustus Belagris in 1620. Elizabeth was loved by her parents dearly and doted upon from a young age. A sharp mind and rock solid will made it to where Elizabeth ran the house from a young age. Daddy was a good father, but had to work hard to keep his headstrong little girl in line. The best he could do was get her the best teachers he could afford and provide a good dowry for a wealthy husband. Raised in court and taught to play the harpsichord, sing, and talk politics, Elizabeth was equally at home in the saddle of a horse or in a salon talking politics. But music was her gift...she was fluent and powerful when writing and performing music.

At the age of 17 she was engaged to a young man by the name of Francis Michael Renault. He was a handsome young man, with light hair and eyes, whose charm had all the court aswoon. He treated his bride to be with great respect and some flirtatious care. Their families were very happy for them both, as they would make a match that would bring prosperity and mutual esteem to trading families. After the wedding, Francis took his bride to their bed, and took her with passion and fire. Having already had a lover, Elizabeth was not bothered, and enjoyed him very much, though he wasn't as...big as she had hoped. After a couple of months, Francis got her with child. The baby was born full term, named Coquette, and all was well.

In the last two months of her pregnancy Francis had not wanted to couple with Eliza, as he was told it was bad for the child. In that time he had been to prostitutes, and came home wanting more than just vanilla sex. Francis liked a little pain with things now. In the next year to come, he came to enjoy hurting Eliza. The next child was a boy, and by the time Francis was told he could no longer have sex, Eliza feared for her life.

All this time she had been writing and performing her music, it's tone becoming more frantic and dark as her fear rose. It was her only outlet, and at times only the crying of little Coquette to be fed drew her away from her music. The servants had to remind her to eat so that she had milk for the little girl.

Unknown to her Francis was in the thrall of the Settites, and was becoming progressively more deranged. Eliza had trouble with the birth of William, and the doctor told her she should abstain for five months. By the time her husband could come to her, she was terrified. On the night when she could have company in her marital bed, there was to be a performance. All of the high society of Paris were in attendance for the music Elizabeth had written. The crowd listened enraptured, and by the end tears streamed down many faces so moved were they by the sadness of the piece.

When the party was over, and the guests in their rooms or gone, Eliza had to go to her husbands bed. She entered the room and he stood with a manic look of glee on his face, a flogger in his hand. Francis would have beaten her to death that night had Elle not intervened. Elle killed Francis, and dominated the house into believing that mad man had attacked husband and wife, nearly killing her, and doing him in. Elle waited 6 months before approaching Eliza, and spending the next year talking to her. In the end, Elle received permission and embraced the young woman.

Eliza saw her children to their majority, and then "died."

She has been protecting female performers ever since. It was to her great horror that she realized Thibault was taking advantage of the two girls. Her strident voice is one that drove him from Parisian society. Eliza withdrew, and has refused to embrace anyone since.

Eliza will be seductive with men, but will not take them to bed unless she wishes to kill them. She feeds almost exclusively from women, not being able to stand most men.
