Cyptic Accents
Description: Through the Principles of Sympathy and Contagion the necromancer borrows a dead person's mode of speech.
Origin: Benesj Cherno
Ingredients: A human tongue from a fresh cadaver
Casting: The necromancer begins the ritual by declaring his authority and identity as Hades, King of the Dead to the deceased; he then goes on to explains that the deceased has no further use for his tongue in the world of the living, but for this night, Hades does have need of it. Thereafter, he places a small coin in the cadaver's mouth and severs the tongue with his ritual blade and wraps it in a piece of clean white cloth. For the remainder of the night, he must continually carry the tongue upon his person to gain the benefit of the borrowed mode of speech.
System: The player rolls Intelligence + Rituals = difficulty four (4) and its a pass/fail ritual. The ritual lasts until the rising of the sun, when the tongue immediately rots.
Reference: This ritual was researched during the 2009 - 2012 downtime in Gabrovo; there are no known parallels in canon.
