Candlestick of Carmelo Constantine.jpg

Appearance: The candlestick is shaped from solid silver and crafted by expert artisanship. Precisely eighteen inches tall, the candlestick bears a demonic countenance and form that rests upon a thick triangular base, and is perfectly balanced upon two long spindly legs and a serpentine tail. The demonic form upholds a cup in which a candle should rest. The bottom of the triangular base is is marked with the seal of the Tetragrammaton.

Background: The legend of the Candlestick of Carmelo Constantine is an interesting story. It begins in 1492 with the Alhambra Decree which expelled all remaining practicing Jews from Spain. With final defeat of the Muslim kingdoms of Spain the Reconquista came to an end, but for those left in Spain who were not good Christians or believed to be Jews in sheep's clothing, the weapons of the Reconquista were still very much a reality and foremost among them was the Spanish Inquisition.
