Sobriquet: Benedicte

Appearance: Benedicte with a young woman in her late teens. She is sure of herself, and her blue-grey eyes easily narrow dangerously when someone provokes her anger. She is always wearing teen clothes, like jeans, or mini skirt, with a bomber's jacket. Her silhouette is lithe and she is very dextrous in her moves. Her long blonde hair are worn in a ponytail, or braided, and fall down to her back if worn free. She has a light slavic accent in her voice, which adds to her charm...

Behavior: Always with a smile on her lips. Her eyes are full of maliciousness, through, as if she could see beyond all the lies someone tried to feed her with... She's a woman with superior intelligence and wits. She would have been a very good intrigante if she didn't prefered Truth and Honesty.

History: Benedicte is born in France, in 1854. She wanted to become someone important, and wanted to study to reach her goal. But her parents, from the Bourgeoisie milieu, put her in front of the reality: A woman does not study, unless studying how to be a good wife, and how to say yes to her husband. Of course, the young teen didn't like it.

In 1875, she was bethroted to a young businessman from New Orlean. It was a good choice, and it would give more contracts to her father's business, as he would be able to install himself in the US city. The young man (35 years old!) was to much sure about himself and considered his future wife with the delicate mix of polite contempts and bourgeois-superiority...

In front of the priest, she answered no.

The priest tried to tell her father to talk to his daughter, and convince her to answer yes. She refused, and her ex-future husband sweared to marry her and to teach her how to behave herself. The newspapers talked about this event, and so, Karl, a Kindred with german ancestry, delayed his departure from Paris and Villon's Great Hunt because of this young and wild young girl. He decided to Embrace the young woman before her marriage which would probably break her innocence and willpower.

The night before the wedding, he entered the well-guarded chamber and was surprised (and pleased) to see Benedict with a knife. In less than ten seconds, she laid down the knife, and less than ten minutes after, she accepted his offer.

She didn't appeared at the wedding. In fact, she was sent to Berlin within a coffin, by train. Karl remained behind to cover their tracks... Villon discovered this young Brujah who had the impudence of ignoring the Blood Hunt, and even insulted him by Embracing a mortal in Paris.

Karl was hunted, and destroyed the same morning Benedicte arrived in Berlin. Her saddeness new no bounds when she learnt about the death of the man who had freed her from this mysoginic society. Her hate for Villon followed soon after.

In 1968, her schemes met with full successes when, with the other Brujah and Anarchs, she succeeded to force Villon to accept the return of the Clan in Paris in exchange of the end of hostilities. Villon, who doesn't suspect who is really Benedicte, and but still know how much she hates him (like a lot of other Kindred!), has no real reason to fear her (even if sometimes, his Auspex let go a tiny alarm at her presence). Since then, Benedicte searches to promote her Clan's power in Paris, and perhaps, one day, remove Villon from his position.

Lately, she discovered Walther Prescott, a young professor in philosophy and history, and giving night classes at the Sorbonne University. She came, masquerading as a student, and she helped him finishing a memoire about occultism, theology and witch-hunt by the Inquisition. Walther slowly became enraptured by the mysterious student. Benedicte answered to his growing affection the same way, even if she was not really in love with him: Walther would be a very good addition to the Clan. Villon would have refused his Embrace if Walther wasn't the pacifist professor Benedicte described him. Then she offered Walther the choice between Death, and Undeath...

Walther's positive answer was only delayed by his surprise...
