Description: This ritual allows the caster to prevent moisture from entering a room. Aqueous Ban is used primarily for the protection of small areas, (although not limited to such) in which the magus wishes to prevent moisture from gaining access to, (such as his occult library, an archive or or other storage facility.
Origin: Morgan Erlich - Montreal - 2050s - 1st Iteration. (ST:Bruce)
System: The caster carves arcane symbols representing water, forbiddance and air upon specially prepared Sandstone. Copper, silver, platinum or gold wire must be wrapped around the base of the outer supports of the room just below the flooring or a few inches underneath the surface of a dirt floor. The trappings of this ritual can be used to prepare a room as it is being built, thus making the ritual harder to detect. During casting, a boundary of clay must be laid out dry and powdered and then moistened with pure water and then vampire blood. This warding will last until the boundary of clay is completely broken, or the stones or wire are moved or broken.
This ritual is usually used to protect an area no more than ten feet radius. Larger areas can be protected; each increase of the overall radius by ten feet increases the difficulty of the ritual by one. The clay will wear away as the magic of the ritual fades, disappearing entirely when the magic of the ritual has faded.
