Sobriquet: Alberto
Appearance: Alberto is of average height and weight. He's got black eyes and long black hair. He looks like a teenager, but his piercing eyes, as well as feral smile never fail to unsettle non-vampire creatures, and all but the most fascinated (or desesperate) mortal women stays around him. He tends to wear jeans and baskets with a T-shirt representing some hard rock band (though he wasn't a music lover, he felt completely under the charm (?) of hard rock, especially Iron Maiden; it seems that hard rock is in line with his inner violence...).
Behavior: Alberto almost never speaks. What he thinks is a mystery for everyone save perhaps Gianluca who raised him. He's fanatically loyal to his sire whom he thinks he owes everything in his existance. Note that he's not especially loyal to the Sabbat. From his viewpoint, he belongs to that sect because Gianluca does. His Vinculum is nearly inexistant with the other members of the pack while it's extremely strong with Gianluca. When he gets into the action, only two words can describe Alberto: swift and deadly.
History: Being an orphan in Italy during the 17th century wasn't a desirable situation. Most of the time, it was the promise of a miserable life without any sign of hope. In regard of this, it can be said that the young Alberto Troppoli was lucky.
His father was a peasant who had connections with Gianluca's rogues. From time to time, he gave them shelter for some nights. Of course, it didn't go unnoticed by the local authorities and guards eventually came to the peasant home to 'investigate'. Suffice it to say that 'Justice' was applied and that the rogues were surprised to find an abandonned and salvaged house. It was Gianluca himself who found the terrorized nine-years old Alberto. Feeling he was somehow responsible of what happened to that family, Gianluca adopted the boy.
Obsessed by the desire to avenge his family, Alberto specialized himself into combat. Under the tutelage of Gianluca, he learned how to brawl, to dodge. He also learned the art of melee and the use of firearms. Finally, at the age of 15, he murdered one by one all the guards who were involved in his family's demise.
He just had killed the last one when he joined the attack against the domain of La Signora Negra - the Black Lady. And when the Lasombra finished her work and embraced Gianluca, he and the old Giacomo were the only survivors left. Though he was scared by what his leader had become, Alberto decided to stay with him. Indeed, the young man felt he owed his life to Gianluca (which was true...) so he accepted to become a Ghoul.
Dedicating himself to his leader, he (with Giacomo) helped a lot Gianluca to prove Francesca that she had made a good choice. As a result, when she decided to give his childe the control of the Roman pack, she allowed him to sire. Gianluca chose his two faithful followers, Giacomo and Alberto.
These were the happy years for Alberto. He travelled a lot following his sire and finally his unlife wasn't so different from his life. He earned some prestige within his clan for his heroic actions but his lack of finesse forbade him to enter into Les Amies Noires (See Clanbook: Lasombra).
Then he followed the pack to Paris. The French revolution fitted exactly Alberto's violent unlife style. Unhappily, the pack got into troubles apparently because of a traitor. When he realized that Giacomo had become somewhat distant from his sire, Alberto had some doubts. But Giacomo proved himself innocent when he died saving the entire pack from a Camarilla's trap which could have meant final death for all of them. Then again the Camarilla Justicar had somehow learned the pack plans, so Gianluca decided it was enough : he ordered Alberto to clean the pack ranks.
Alberto dutifully did it but it proved to be inefficient.
Since that time, Alberto has served his sire enforcing Gianluca's orders within the pack. Though Gianluca's alone is powerful enough to quell any challenge to his authority, the fact that Alberto fanatically supports his sire keeps all the pack in line as no one dares to defy him. Perhaps the reason is Alberto has become a fearsome warrior over the years...
Recent Events: If there's something to note about Alberto, this is the strange Vinculum ratings he has. Indeed, Gianluca and him have strong Vinculum for each other, but really weak one for the rest of the pack. The explanation lies in the power of the blood they inherited: even with repeated Vaulderies, Montano's blood is so strong it cannot be totally overwhelmed, thus explaining the ratings: Even weakened, its effects is still there...
How ironic is it, isn't it ?
