Glasgow / London / Ventrue

Background: In life, Abbott Craw was a member of a commando unit of the Royal Marines. His unit dissolved during the civil war, and his enlistment status became a matter of some academic debate. Nonetheless, Craw enlisted in Scotland Yard when the shooting was over, and became an officer in the Special Armed Police (SAP) - England's equivalent of the SWAT division.

Just when Officer Craw was embraced is another mystery. Cyril Masters claims that he gained permission from Queen Anne in the chaotic days as the Camarilla braced for the Sabbat invasion. If so, she didn't have time to inform her Sheriffs of the decision. Given the situation, the matter may be academic.

In return for immortality and instruction in the ways of Clan Ventrue, Abbott oversees his sire's night-time protection, and serves as a bodyguard in the all-too-frequent situations that call for one.

Appearance: At first glance, Craw is ever bit the military commando. Even in an expensive suit, he has more the look of a bodyguard or enforcer than of an important individual in his own right. His 6'3" frame is least discongrous when wearing a uniform, and in the rare moments when he has a moment to himself, Abbott adopts camouflage patterned mufti most unbecoming of one of his lineage.

Yes, he readily admits that his physique was attained with the help of government-supplied steroids. You can't argue with results.

Recent Events: Abbott has been "volunteered" to accompany the Archon Brian O'Reilly as the Camarilla maneuvers to retake London. For the first time in his unlife, he has found a group he can fit into - the Ventrue in O'Reilly's "knights" respect his combat experience rather than mock his lack of breeding and refinement. Particularly, he has gotten along with Jurgis Ąžuolas, who is equally uncomfortable with his own clanmates.

His Death: Abbot followed the Knights of the World Tree to Birmingham, while still trying to fulfill his obligations as security chief to his sire in Glasgow. He disappeared while traveling from Birmingham to Glasgow late in 2029. His body was never found, but scrying and auguries show nothing - a sign that he is probably dead.
