Introduction

The Dominion of Time governs the progression of human experience from moments through the cycle of years and it holds sway over the fast moving river mankind calls time. However this Dominion is far more than a counting down of hours into seasons or years, for time is not the constant forward moving river so often depicted in myth or allegory, or if it is then this dominion allows its wielders to ply the river of time just as a boatman would any mundane confluence. For the gods who have inherited or stolen this dominion it is possible to experience time as they see fit, initially the Avatars of Time expand their understanding of time and its effect upon the world around them and like children playing at the banks of a great river they learn how to step into and out of the water.

Innate Power

Clepsydra: This first and foundational power of the Dominion of TIME allows a given Avatar an innate awareness of the flow of time. Although it is often visualized in a variety of ways, the term Clepsydra is generally used to refer generically to those who have a involuntary perception of time. Once gained, the Avatar is unconsciously aware of the time in the same way that those who have skin are aware of the touch of water. The comparison and possibilities do not stop there, as time is similar to water, its influence can be strengthened or weakened in insignificant ways and for short periods of time it can be bared altogether from a person, place or thing. The Clepsydra can be used for a virtually unlimited set of minor manipulations of time with regards to the Avatar and the world around them: aging or de-aging small animals, aging or de-aging small items, augmentation of reaction time, conscious alarms, detection of temporal manipulations, dilation of perception, lightening calculation, preserving or rotting small amounts of organic matter, slowing or speeding small animals, slowing or speeding small objects, warding a small object or space against the passage of time. No roll is required for the use of this power, it is automatic, but quite limited in scope.
