History: Jean-Baptiste is the eldest of three brothers, born into a poor family of wood-sellers from the eastern district of Brittany. Jean grew up fast, as his parents both worked to feed the family. When he graduated secondary school, he decided to pursue the life of a professional educator, bringing enlightenment to young, impressionable minds. His first posting was to an urban school in one of Paris' worst ghettos. It was in that posting that he was to meet his wife to be, Élodie Couture. It took him a couple of years to work up the courage to ask her to marry him, but now they have been married for about five years. The trip to Brazil was a vacation long overdue, unfortunately, two weeks into their visit Jean and his family were captured by a group of Moradores, who have used and abused the French family.
