Hugues Glasiyer
Domain: The neighbourhood of Kajzerica, just south of the main east-west highway, and is responsible for the Zagreb Hipodrom, which is considered Elyssium
Nickname: Hurle-Hugues (Screaming Hugues)
Who is he? Hugues was a member of the French national Judo team for more than a decade through the 50's and 60's, and went on to master Capoera, Tae'Kwon'Do, and Ken'Po. He became a celebrity martial arts instructor, known to hard-core fans of extreme fighting throughout the world. That changed when, as he is quite willing to tell those who ask, Anarchs attacked a public function he was attending in 1972. When the Sheriff of Paris and his enforcers arrived, they discovered that he had beaten one of the miscreants into torpor, and saved several other party-goers, and inadvertently minimized the damage to the masquerade to boot by keeping the kindred terrorists off camera. After that, Hugues spent two years as a daylight enforcer for Adeline Truchon, before she earned the right to embrace him. When Adeline came to Zagreb, he was right by her side.
Appearance: A wiry, well muscled man in his late forties or early fifties. Hugues has well groomed, greying dark hair, a quick, lopsided smile that reveals a gold tooth, and a remarkable physique for someone obviously a bit past his prime. Like many remarkable Frenchmen, Hugues is shorter than average, standing only 5'4", and probably weighs in the neighbourhood of 170 lbs.
Personality: Hugues displays the easy friendliness of someone who has nothing to prove, and genuinely enjoys most situations. His smile freezes uncomfortably in place uncomfortable around those who are physically inhuman, though he manages well enough in a city where Nosferatu and Gargoyles frequent Elysium. Hugues has the air of a crusader, who knows that he is on the right side of history.
Notes: A master of martial arts and related weapons, Hugues usually chooses blunt weapons in combat. As such, he has disabled and entorpored several Anarchs and two Sabbat during the Liberation.
