Edwardo Putanesca
- Giovanni -Z- Houston -Z- The Seven: A List of known Vampiric Temporal Doppelgängers -Z- Putanesca Postmortem
Sobriquet: Now that Enzo is dead or transformed or whatever, Edwardo is done letting the Giovanni talk down to him; from this point forward, those who want his assistance will treat him with respect and call him Mr.Putanesca and if they are friends then they can call him Edwardo, otherwise they can call him whatever they want, but they will never get his help without using the magic word....Please.
Appearance: Edwardo Putanesca stands a few inches over six-foot tall and probably weights a solid two-hundred and fifty pounds of mostly muscle. His seal brown hair is worn short in an older, more conservative cut that wouldn't have looked out of place in the late 1940s or early 1950s. His tan face is oval, giving the impression of softness where in fact there is none. Edwardo's brown eyes, the color of petrified wood, convey emotion a little too well, and there is often a glint of suppressed indignation or rage contained within the depths of his irises; which perhaps explains why he wears dark sunglasses even late into the Texas night. His face is exactly the opposite, like a well tooled leather mask, it transmits nothing of what he is feeling. Likewise, his well muscled body, rarely moves with anything but economical grace and when he desires, predatory silence. Edwardo wears his tan and brown chauffeur's uniform like of armor against the cruelties of the world in general and those of his family specifically. The only testament to his wealth or power are the only two pieces of jewelry that he permits himself: a tie pin made from an ancient Abraxas gemstone and a 2016 Sant-Blanc Daytona racing watch. While it is neither easily detectable or obvious, Edwardo's uniform has been custom tailored to conceal the best layered body-armor money can buy. Regardless or where he goes or what he does, he carries a pair of blue telescoping Vitallium combat batons, and when bloodshed is required a pair of Sicilian double-barrel Lupara shotguns.
Behavior: To truly know Edwardo, one must somehow dig beneath the mask of coolly polite professionalism that he uses to obscure his highly emotional, competitive, intellect. Two words hold special meaning for him, and he exemplifies them in both word and deed. The first is distinction, while at first glance the life of a professional chauffeur is far from distinctive, Edwardo is unique among the Putanesca vampires who serve the Giovanni Clan in that he demands and receives remuneration for his highly skilled services or he refuses service no matter who the potential client might be.
The second word that defines his personality and perspective is influence. Edwardo's ability to influence others lies in how perfectly he has taken up the role of the personal servant. In short order, few individuals, mortal or immortal can imagine this quiet, unobtrusive man as anything other than an immortal liveried servant. Edwardo is utterly polite, seemingly incapable of standing in judgment of his employers, he follows instructions without hesitations unless it is to offer a helpful suggestion, and seems only too happy to continue in the role of a domestic servant to his employers. It is through this methodology of maintaining a seemingly mundane and unambitious lifestyle that he disarms the wealthy, the powerful, the supercilious – the Giovanni.
History: The man who now calls himself Edwardo Putanesca entered the dark world of the undead as a seemingly unremarkable specimen who accidentally saw too much beyond the tattered hole rent in the fabric of the Masquerade by the monstrous Sabbat. Like a handful of other individuals who couldn't be compelled with the vampiric discipline of Dominate, he was dispensed with by framing him as one of the psycho killers responsible for local atrocities committed by the Sword of Caine while on holiday. His journey from law abiding citizen to hardened killer was truly phenomenal. Everyone agreed, it was such a shame, he seemed so nice, but everyone who was asked said they were surprised it took so long for the truth to come out into the open. Never was a criminal case so cut and dried, the prosecutor gave just one eloquent speech, the court appointed defense sat there like a toad without the magical kiss needed to turn him into an attorney with an ounce of integrity and the decent, unimaginative members of the jury soaked up what they were told to believe and handed down an unanimous conviction that the well bought judge couldn't execute fast enough for him to avoid rush hour traffic. It was a done deal and Edwardo was a three-strike felon in just eight hours. Hoorah for the perfection of the American legal system as it meted out justice like an old blind lady without bowel control and well on her way to full senility.
