Sobriquet: Master Wellig, Anton
Appearance: Anton is a well coifed man, whose every hair has it's place. His dark beard is immaculately trimmed. His pale skin is clear and perfect. His eyes are dead.
Behavior: Anton is a good Tremere on the whole. But his desire to be the most powerful Tremere has been a trial he hasn't always passed. Anton likes making deals and bargains, and holding others to their side of them. When he can use the language to his benefit he does.
History: Anton was embraced early on in the Tremere rise to clan status. His ruthlessness was mostly considered a benefit. He studied hard, and learned his lessons in blood magic well. He is highly regarded as a per-eminent Thaumaturgy scholar. In 1882 he was approached by Valerius to help depose Mithras, who had become a thorn in Anton's side. The two of them set a plan in motion to feed Emma Blake to Mithras, and thereby destroy him with her tainted blood.
Anton brought her in and began teaching her all the things to be good Tremere, wiping her mind of the special concoctions he was feeding her. Much like the Pygmalion, he transformed her into the ideal woman for Mithras to want. Mithras had already spoken of interest to woo her. Only a few suspected that he had become old enough to need to feed on vampires. Over a period of 5 years they teased Mithras with this tasty morsel, and when the time was right they were going to feed her to him. In the mean time her lover Becket became aware of some of the things at hand, and was able to keep Mithras from draining her. Unfortunately for Anton and Valerius, he drank enough to be driven made for a period of time. When Mithras recovered, Anton was forced to flee before Mithras could find him. Anton is currently on the lam in Europe, hiding his traces from the God King of Britain.
