Abdslam
Sobriquet: Abdslam
Appearance: Abdslam is a well-built black man, with his black hair graying at the temples. He is beautiful, and could have his share of feminine conquests (even from non-black female, which never cease to surprise him) if he had cared for it.
He usually wears expensive black clothes, and rarely anything else. When alone, he finds it difficult not to wear the gray clothing he liked to wear in the 19th century, and he comes, sometimes, with a 3rd Empire-styled smoking suit, to the rare Soirées he accepts to attend.
Behavior: Abdslam became cold an calculating, and it became even more true when he became Kindred. He rarely smiles, and is only receptive to jokes about money.
History: He was called Georges by his Master. He would do anything the Master would ask to him, and he would be gentle to everyone, while accepting the remarks and insults of his Master's friends and family. But deep inside, he was Abdslam. He was a slave, working for one great family of the South of the newly created United States. His intelligence has put him as one of the prefered slave of his Master, but if his Master had known how much Abdslam was intelligent, he would have killed him.
But once, his Master went to France, and he was proud of his pet slave, and everyone agreed that the Master was lucky to have such an intelligent and submitted slave. Everyone but Charles, for Charles went beyond the comedy of Abdslam. The Master never went back to the U.S.A.. His money was soon depletted, and the Master's family became so poor they had to work to live barely better than the slaves. Under the guidance of Charles, Abdslam has won his first financial war on the tomb of his Master.
Since them, Abdslam joined Charles in his work to take over French (and non-french) economy and industry. And he is succeeding well...
To the contrary of typical Kindred psychology, Abdslam and Charles work together in the same field. This cooperation, combined with their innate talent for finance, make them one of the most effective Cotterie of Paris. They are now considering choosing another Childe to give to Abdslam (as Leonard seems to have some problems) to help them understand the new technologies. They are considering a Asian young man whose interests conflict often with Leonard, but the fact the Asian man's interests are limited to illegal trade prevents them to choose him now.
Lately, Abdslam discovered the influence of a Kindred within some industrial fields, like television and constrution. He is still working a spying to learn more...
As A Ventrue, Abdslam can only drink blood from highly successful people (in financial areas). This cotegory is blurred because rich people with few financial talents are right out. In the other hand, ambitious persons with bad luck, or in need of a little help could well join Abdslam's Herd.
