This black journal is bound in a dark stained leather cover. The pages are bound in a cunningly braided sinew. The book is written in an middle English and takes some work being translated. Mercy Booth briefly recounts her life in the early settlement of Salem. She recounts being born, and both her parents died in a fire within the first year of her life.
