In May, 2013, Andrev Burgasov (Mac) and Erin are settling into Gabrovo. Erin walks into a trap set by a group of vampire hunters, who attack her with stakes and a great deal of skill. Due to her exceptional fortitude and generation, she is able to escape from them. Subsequent investigation reveals that they are traveling around Bulgaria, apparently in an attempt to avoid pursuit.
Benesj, Andrev and Erin hire a tour helicopter to chase the hunters down. Though they each take significant damage in the fight, they kill two and subdue two of the gang - the former servants and ghouls of Valentine, an Assamite who once functioned as unofficial scourge of Gabrovo Province for the former "Bolshevik" rulers of the province. Erin, particularly, proves her ability, and makes a strong showing for the ability of a young Gangrel to fight and survive.
Benesj turns the two survivors over to Violette of Targovishte to face her justice for the murder of her childe.
