Icon
Back to The Morgan Collection
The icon ritual allows the caster to cache the effects of other rituals within an object for later use. It can store rituals that do not require being cast at a certain time, such as defense of the sacred haven, and do not require that costs be paid during the casting. It can only store rituals of level 5 or below.
System: The icon ritual allows the sorcerer to effectively delay the release of another ritual at a time and place of his choosing. The ingredients of this ritual include a container created from amber upon which the caster must place a glyph that represents the ritual to be stored. Once the icon ritual container has been created with the appropriate glyph, the ritual to be stored must be cast immediately. Upon the completion of the ritual to be stored, the caster spends a willpower point to force the magic into the Icon, which begins to glow slightly with the contained magic. To release the stored ritual, the Icon must to be crushed or smashed, at which time the full effects of the stored ritual will take effect. Releasing the ritual requires intent (can only be done on purpose), but need not be done by the caster. There is no limit to the number of icons a caster may create.
