History: First a Mage controlling the Ra-Hekau, she was embraced to replace the deceased Meryt-Neith, as well as because her overwhelming ambition (she had killed her Mentor because he didn't give her the access to secret arcana).
She was gave full access to Sechat's abandonned Pyramid, as well as all her writtings, and some centuries later, rediscovered the lost Akhu. She worked hard to learn all its secret, but by the time, Set had entered Torpor and the Setites had scattered around the known world. But she had succeeded in discovering the powerful rituals used by the Egyptian Eneade to destroy the Baali's stronghold in cretia.
Let alone, her and her mission almost forgotten by her own Clan, her ambition calmed down by the fact she had reached the fabled level of power of Sechat, she traveled all around the world to learn the last bits of thaumaturgical knowledge that still eluded her.
She meddled with the roman Ventrue and Malkavian, and became known as the Gorgon, as some Ventrue discovered her power over her own hair (through Serpentis ***** ***), and her power to paralyse mortals (Serpentis *). And, as they had provoked the end of Egypt, she helped destroy in secret their own creation. After the crumbling of Rome, she entered Torpor for some five centuries. She awakened to follow the court of Alexandre in France.
Soon, she felt before anyone the aura of corruption that was birthing in Paris, and took it as a signal from her Grand Sire. She settled there, and worked hard ot find any information about it.
By discovering Phantomas' notes about the battle between two Methuselahs around 300, she learned of Hecate's name, of the use of mighty thaumaturgy (well before the rise of the Tremere), and wondered at the similarities between Sechat (Egyptian Godess of the chronicles and holy architecture) and Hecate (Greek Godess of Dark Magic). If it was true, then the other could only be Nebneferptah, known enemy of Sechat/Meryt-Neith, and thought destroyed by her by Set's brood.
But if it was Nebneferptah, then his power (and corruption) had drastically increased since the last time he was seen, and it now radiated all around Paris, albeit in subbtle form.
She discovered she could use this semi-dormant powers to fuel her own High Thaumaturgical Rituals, as the Eneade used the Santorini volcanic source to destroy cretia's civilization. She knew the Lupines would never let her harvest this power, so she needed the help from powerful Kindred. In secret conversations with Alexandre, she convinced him the Lupines were a threat to Paris and France (not very hard to do, when looking from Kindred's viewpoint), but that she knew how to slowly and surely weaken them, as well as their Gangrel allies. All she needed was protection from Alexandre's french army forces. When alexandre asked her what she wanted in exchange (he wondered what powerful Prestation she would ask for such service), she answered she wanted to become Primogen in Paris. But Alexandre wanted more: He wanted her...
Alexandre was no fool, and he knew about the Setite reputation, but the proposition was too tempting, either for the destruction of the Lupines, or even the love of such a marvelous creature. He didn't knew how much he had been tested by Theti-Sheri. When he asked how she would make such a feat, she told him she knew rituals from Egypt magick that have been used to remove the Lupine threat from the Two-Lands, and that she would teach him it if he wanted. She corrupted him instead...
But Saviarre would not let her act freely. The two Methuselah fought each other just before Alexandre was destroyed in the Anarch Wars. Theti used her Serpentis power of Set's Curse (see below) to transform Saviarre in a gigantic python. She retained this form for a few nights, but never regained her human mind when reverting back to her original form. Theti saw this as a personal blessing from Set, and kept the poor Saviarre in her dungeon, fed out from her own Blood, and used as a pet. Seeing the Ventrue crawling on her belly and licking her blood was too much for Theti. She never killed Saviarre's now impotent form.
After the Convention of Thorn, she answered the call of the Camarilla for the Followers of Set to join the Sect. While the Setites declined the invivation, the contacts she had with the Toreadors led her to believe she would have a place in the new sect.
Not much time after, she was forced into Torpor by a Ventrue rival. The rival died soon after, by the power of his own Sire: Saviarre's Blood Bond weakened her childe enough to be destroyed by the new pet of Theti. Entering deep Torpor, Theti disappeared from sight. But the awesome ritual that have been started by her continued to work, through the own will of Nebnefertpah.
She awakened in the Louis the 14th' era. Continuing to act like a Poseur (her Path of Ecstasy made it easier), and being accepted as one of them, she made her path through the Harpies ranks. But somehow, she could not control anymore the rituals. but seeing its corruption power was increasing, she simply decided it was fine enough, as it let her live an happy unlife... The Aura of Corruption was growing independantly from her influence.
But in 1789, the french people, backed by the Brujah and the Anarchs, revolted against the king. Seeing in this a way weaken the parisian Kindred, in the same way they saw the Inquisition, a new cotterie of Setite were called in secret to do the dirty work. The Revolution went beyond what was thought possible by all, and a lot of Kindred were destroyed in the chaos, which was enhanced when the Sabbat tried, too, to push its pawn through it.
Fleeing from Paris, the Camarilla Setites went back in 1796 with bad news: The english Kindred were prompting the Great Britain to take control of colonies. Thus Napoleon, who was seen as a possible pawn, was sent in Egypt (along with Toreador emissaries) to fight the english. The setites didn't succeed in approaching Napoleon, and have few time to influence the Toreador, as the British Kindred backed the english forces and made any pause impossible. This was some kind of mistake: The Ancient Egyptian have been lost to the world since 1500 years, and all but very old Methuselah, or the Setites themselves knew how to read it: The french discovered the Stone of Rosette, and the english took it as a war prize to the British Museum.
Theti approached, then, Villon with a proposal he could not refuse: A great part of Egypt was still controlled by the Setite. In the exchange of a possible title of Duchesse, she would ensure the french Toreador would be able to go and visit Egypt without risking their unlives. While the Typhonists reacted violently to Theti's proposal, she knew the possibility to enlighten the french Toreador would prove to be great. She was right. The Treaty was sealed by the gift of the Obelisk of Louksor, in 1832. Little did she knew the Obelisk would serve as a thaumaturgical mirror, which was put (chance, chance...) in the place of the Concorde, named also place of the Revolution, where thousands people were guillotined. Little did she knew this new mirror would increase even more the apparent source of Vis of the Tremere Chantry of Saint Louis
But Villon had discovered some slight manifestations of the Aura of Corruption. But the Brood of Alexandre had been destroyed, or fleeing. So Villon had no way to know what was the real cause of the Aura of Corruption. but still, he looked at the Setite, wondering...
Recent Events: Within the last 40 years, she learned the Lupines and Gangrel were increasing in numbers, a thing that had not happened since the dark ages. This she took as an omen that Nebneferptah, or whatever the thing it had become, was somewhat awakening and so, keeping his energy to himself. This was an alarming situation indeed: She knew the Gangrel hated her, as well as the Brujah did. The Ventrue would like nothing more than destroy them in secret. Only the truce between the Egyptian Setite and the Parisian Toreador, authorizing the french Toreador to come to Egypt under setite protection to admire the Egyptian Sites, still protected Theti from those Clans.
Soon after, she received a message from one she thought in Torpor, or long dead: Nefertiti needed her to take the control of Paris, by corrupting the primogen. Theti was powerful, but corrupting the Primogen would create ripples so visible that her position and the position of her brood in Paris would be forfeit for the ambition of her Sire.
She decided, then, that she would have to destroy her powerful Sire, and for that she needed power: She had thaumatrugical knowledge, but most of her thaumaturgical power laid on Rituals that needed a great source of power like Nebneferptah's torporous body, or Set's powerful Vitae. Looking at the source of the Aura, she wondered if it was possible for her to Diablerize it: With her knoweldge and the power to fuel her Rituals, she would be able to challenge Nefertiti and even the whole parisian Kindred...
She knows she have little time, But she is willing to try anything to succeed. The possible presence or influence of Nebneferptah, Nefertiti and perhaps even Sechat is a new experience for her, even if a dangerous one, and she finds she likes it...
