Sobriquet: Doctor Liverman (official circumstances), Rodger (to friends and family), Rod-man (to most of his many, short term female acquaintances).
Appearance: An aging academic with a prodigious paunch, a bare fringe of blond hair and thick bifocals; Rodger is no-one's idea of Casanova, and yet he is a skilled Romeo in the meat-market atmosphere of most modern singles bars. At the bars and clubs he likes to wear brightly colored floral print Hawaiian shirts and shorts or blue-jeans depending on the season. In his professional life, he is inclined to three-piece suits in dark colors with brightly colored bow-ties.
