The Bene Elohim are the children of Greater Angels, such as Michael, Lucifer, and Uriel. These Angels are immortals who step between the outer lands and earth, wingless but mighty. They are the hands of God on Earth, inclined to be found helping strangers and orphans. They use the Lore of Humanity, Lore of the Fundament, and the Lore of the Realms. Rare Bene Elohim have been found that can use other Lores, but those seem to be the learning of millennia, not a static thing. Occasionally one of them will become a Fallen, but this is rare.
