St. Louis-----Nosferatu

Sobriquet: Tormod

Sire: Avetis Vardanis

Appearance: Tormod is a huge vampire, 6'6" tall with very broad shoulders and long wispy white hair. He has huge patches where the hair has fallen out. Tumors and boils cover his face, and his teeth are crooked and gnarled.

Background: Tormod was born the son of a great warrior, Viktor Swenhaugen, Kinfolk of the Get of Fenris, and Tormod determined to follow in his great fathers footsteps. After several modest raids to the south, a chance came open for a group of warriors to travel to the great fishing lands to the West and plant a seed for the future of the Get of Fenris clan. Tormod traveled with a veteran captain to the New World, and after several months traveled up the Mississippi river to its headwaters in Illinois and Michigan. As they traveled the crew drew the attention of Avetis Vardanis, who had been living here for some time. He had been alone on the continent for a long while, and determined he would take a childe ease his loneliness. Following the warriors for some days, he eventually found his chance to grab Tormod from the edge of camp. To Avetis's surprise, he was seen by a Get member, who sent up a howl and followed him. In a pitched battle that lasted several days, the Nosferatu and the werewolves fought. When Tormod awakened after being turned, he was horrified to realize he was drinking the blood of one of his former companions. Avetis dominated him into following orders, and used him as a foil to keep the werewolves from killing the elder vampire. Avetis told Tormod what had been done to him, and why. The wolves followed the two vampires all the way back to the caves under Xiebolla. There the two factions fought to a standstill, with a savage hit at one of the werewolves by the elder Nosferatu to cause a cave in. The two vampires were seperated, with the childe Tormod Swenhaugen being injured to the edge of death and forced into torpor. Avetis fled south, leaving his childe entombed under tons of rock behind a cave in. Avetis swore he would return. Eventually Tormod came out of torpor alone and hurting. He hunted in the city above, clumsily at first, but getting better. Seeing his face in the rolling water of the Mississippi was a shock. After he had he realized he could not go home. Sad to not be able to show his father how he had grown in power, Tormod settled down to live in the wild new land. When he realized how he had been made hideous he was very angry. But after a while he learned to hide his true face, and this shame became bearable. After a hundred years together Avetis left for the south, searching for new place. When Reva came to the St. Louis area he saw her beauty from afar and fell madly in love. He stalked her for a long time, eventually finding the courage to meet her with his face covered by obfuscate so she would not find him hideous. They talked till the sun came up, and Tormod became her silent, hidden protector and confidant in the city. After many years had passed, they shared blood, over time becoming blood bound to each other.
