Mina's Story

After the temporal blip the bullets were firing. We were firing at them, they were firing at "us." well mostly at our teams, as Jamie was the only one using a REAL gun. I started the fake fire, after the fake damage got tot he pint where it seemed realistic, and then our charges went off.. Wait, that was bigger and with more fire than what we had planned… Looks like it is good we didn't o in, it was SERIOUSLY a death trap. Sigh, hope most of the people got out, our charges were supposed to cause structural damage, but not collapse the building for at least a bit, allowing people (including Gregor) to escape. However, I do manage to spot A person slinking off, this may be Gregor. However we can't really check as one of the enemy teams is now mobil, and heading our way. We decide that retreat is now a good option, having leveled the building. No way to know here if our quarry survived, but I have a strong suspicion the figure was him. I use my multiple concentration to Leap my way up to the top of a building, but I get shot for my trouble. OW!! Fuckers are using tracer rounds. Jamie also takes a hit as the lob gradates into the alley. Luckily they think the rest of our team was still there. We only catch a little, but alas one of the Chimerical brujah had to die for realism. Sniffle. We bounce to the next building and then "obfuscate' and port away, into a Lake. This way the happy tremere can trace us, least not using tools we know about. We then use our prospective powers to port to our own domains.

And I am not home for even 10 min when someone decides to invade without being invited. Sigh. Not sure who it is, but they are trying to be stealth, and wearing full battle gear. Idiot. I will not kill him, I learned my lesson the hard way about knee jerk. I think I am just going to sleep him, and interrogate his dreams. He's safe, Im safe, and I can release later. He goes down without any fuss at all, and I put him in one of the guest rooms. I had the presence of mind to make the doors so that they had the option of not being able to be opened from the inside, so they can be cells if needed. At this moment Jamie informs me he has is own interlopers, Guess I have to go help him, before I get a chance to interview mr. trespasser. Thats ok, he will keep for at least a year, unless he is a crazy dream mage. Much counter to my history we are in short supply (at least in theory).

I use the necklace I gave Jamie to spy on what is going on. It appears he is after a woman. He tries my trick, and manages to conk her out, but she immediately turns to mist. Neat trick, but not real helpful to a guy who can turn air to a solid. (need to finally get that trick) However it appears that Jamie isn't off the hook. While I only had one person, he appears to have many. Once he Freezes her, a cat that is moving entirely to fast, comes into the mix, and… A Brujah strike team. Sucks to be Jamie today. I port over to roughly where he is, just in time to hear explosions from inside his building. I can't really go right into the fray, but I sense Celerity, and Temporis inside. I make the area inside dark, hopping to give Jamie an edge, and port into the area on the other side of Jamie. This puts bad men in-between us. After a Chemerical grenade flies from Jamie, he proceeds to go Oster on them. They start beeping like they are king to explode. However, I am just all slow in comparison, but he manages to grab me and run out of the building before the missile strike hits. Yep Jamie had a missile strike called on him. Wow, its hard to be his friend at the moment.

Now that end of a day would suck for anyone, but apparently Jamie pissed of some serious Karmic Demon, because he tells me he senses Sukbatar enter into his domain. We decide to head to the library and set a trap. I think this is a good idea, so we set up, I break my mirror, and set Chemeristry so None of us are visible. Jamie then decides he wants to die (or at least make a good attempt) and runs off to meet him in the courtyard. WTF?!?! Not only did I waste a Mirror (and those things are NOT easy to cast) but our lure is GONE. Sigh.. How many times am I going to have to save his sorry butt from this guy before he takes a hint? To bad I can't treat him like an errant Child and let him fail. This would mean his death, and perhaps his dioblorie. FUCK! I am no where near as fast as I was, and with 0 celerity I can't catch up. Sukbatar then tries his spirt thing to me, and I hear "stay out of the conflict, and you will have your seat on the new Ruling Council" Shit shit shit. I wont be an assassin, and I told Jamie that, but I can't just let him kill Jamie either. Maybe be able to help in subtle ways, so Jamie doesn't die. First I port to a mile straight up. This means I am likely out of the spirits range, and If I do everything right, Sukbatar won't know I am there to help. Next step is make my self look like the nights sky, and use movement of the mind to make sure I don't fall into the middle of their fight. However Watching the way things work, Jamie is much better on his home turf, with warning, and Gives as good as he gets. He manages to make sukbatar run off, melting his axe, and smacking him with a few things. Sukbatar, has a neat trick of swim through dirt, and Jamie is hard pressed to hit him, but manages to keep him from running long enough to steal blood (via A knife of vitae transference) and he lost is hand (via Yan sword of Slicing). Hmm True name acquired. Sukbatar decide to leave as it is looking he may not live through this fight.

Yan decides that the next night he would like to hunt Sukbatar. I tell him I am out of the hunting game, and I don't want to return. Yan says that he will come after him again, and I say if he does, then we will kill him, but I won't be an assassin again. He asks if I can papers flesh him, to dissuade Sukbatar from hunting him. Sighing, I decide that this I can and will do provided Jamie assures me he won't go after him. It is one thing to go after someone, and quite another to tell them to sit, and leave me the fuck alone (or my friends). After which we head to our prospective havens, and I get to talk to a slumbering intruder.

It turns out the man who was sent, is a former Brujah ghoul. And when I say former, I mean his last meal is still coursing through his system. He was embraced and given a message to give to me, in my domain. He was told what may happen to him and apparently the rumors of the Gypse sorcerous are rampant among the Brujahs forces. I do nothing to dissuade this, as I am talking in dreams, it makes it a little more truthful. I get the message, and when and where he is supposed to return. If he doest my answer is assumed to be no, and if he does, it is with whatever answer I should choose. I want to negotiate, as I plan on helping the brujah if I can, but not at the expense of my people, or my path. I set him to walkup outside my domain, with a note that I write addressed to (and encrypted to) Kalina Gala. This way he will wake with little or no memory of the dream, and see the note, and assume it is my answer. As he will be in one of the places he is supposed to return to, My mystery will deepen, and hopefully keep people out of Falkultetta.
