Paris -P- Sabbat

The Sabbat of Paris... Well, what can the Sabbat do in that Camarilla stronghold which is Paris. A city so stable, so powerful, so much in control of the Toreador clan that it's its capital city? The answer is simple: nothing. Of course, it's apparently not the case. Indeed, the south-east area of the city is infested by the Sabbat. The sect is definitely in control of low-grade cops as well as some political powers of the 20th arrondissement, thus insurring its activity won't be detected by the supposed high-grade Camarilla Ghouls, and it is present in some parts of the 19th arrondissement and in some of the surrounding suburbs. They hide so well few Camarilla Kindred living in the vicinity even know something is wrong. Those who do complain to the authorities, but so far nothing successful has been made. It seems that even the dreaded Masques can't help. Or maybe they don't want to. Well, let's say the truth: They don't have to.

Indeed, the Sabbat of Paris is under control. The mighty Gianluca, unchallenged leader of the sect for the city is under the domination of his Sire, a Lasombra traitor to the Sabbat. Hiding in Paris and supposed by all to be destroyed, Francesca rules the local Sabbat allowing it to achieve sufficient successes to make it seen as a real danger but preventing it to do real harm. In exchange, she has the support of the Prince...

Don't believe it has gone unnoticed ; fed up to see that the situation in Paris wasn't improving, Mexico sent the Assamite Antitribu Hacen with a pack to investigate. So far, they're waiting for a full report. And they're not going to have it soon as Hacen is taking pain to keep his own pack united. Indeed, the Pander Basilisa seems more interested in Alberto, Gianluca's childe, than in fulfilling her mission. And Pierce definitely has other plans. So the investigation is stalling...

Gianluca has no more success with his pack. The paranoid Lasombra is still trying to eradicate the mole which is the cause of all his failures. As he is the mole, he'll have a long time searching... Even though he's multiplying the Vaulderies, the pack continued existence is mostly due to his own might and his loyal childe's one. In fact, Gérard is still waiting for an occasion to flee and join the Anarchs. Jaroslav thinks about betraying Gianluca to Hacen. Jean-Louis is more interested by his business than by the Sabbat. Only the weak Pierre staunchly supports the pack.

As a result, that Sabbat is perhaps the most disunited of the world. Its very existence is incredibly frail. In fact, its disappearance is already planned: When Francesca will reveal herself for what she truly is, Gianluca and Alberto will join her and all the other Sabbat will be destroyed save those who will get the Signora Negra's clemency (most likely l'Epuisette, Gérard and maybe Basilisa).

The Dark Freedom Pack

Dark Freedom is the pack led by Gianluca. It was named after its role during the American Revolution. It arrived in Paris during the Revolution and took an active part to the events of that time feuding for ever with Mme Guile. The pack is in control of the Sabbat interests in the city. However, it seems unable to make any more significant progress.

The Vinculum ratings appear in the table below. Note that if the Lasombras have strong ratings to each other, this is not the case for the other pack members. Jaroslav is unboundable so his ratings are null. To the exception of Pierre, most of the pack members don't really care about the pack which is why their ratings aren't very high (or the other way around). Note that Basilisa is spending more and more of her time with Alberto (who is more attracted to her than he would care to admit) which is why she also has a rating with the members of the Dark Freedom.

The Holy Avengers Pack

Deeply influenced by Muslim teachings (even though he won't admit it), Hacen chose to name his pack the Holy Avengers. A first sight, it seems he wasn't inspired: At first, half his pack was ambushed in their passage from Britain to Normandy, and with it the Pack Priest! And now, he seems to be alone in his pack! Indeed Basilisa has almost become a Dark Freedom member and Pierce is partially protected from the Vaulderie by an investment granted by his Demon Lord...

But the truth is darker. When he named his pack, Hacen wasn't thinking about the Pander and the City Gangrel... But to the true members of the Pack, who hide and spy the Dark Freedom Pack to discover the Elder supposed to control them...

The True Holy Avengers Pack

Of the three packs present in Paris, the True Avengers are the most secretive: Surprisingly, they are the one upholding the Masquerade with as much as care as the Camarilla Cainites. Raena ordered a great care in feeding, as well as hunting for the Blood Feasts. No one but the Regent and some Prisci know about this mission, and she intends it to remain as such. The pack makes a great use of Revenants working under the orders of the Tzimisce sorceress. Note that Hacen and the True Avengers rarely meet (if they meet at all), and never directly, to prevent any counterspying.

Using their mastery over Auspex and Animalism, the True Avengers spy over the Dark Freedom Pack, but never try to spy the Camarilla too far: The Toreador have such a mastery over Auspex the True Avengers would risk their secrecy. Until now, only the Anarch territory have been spied with any success, and the Tremere Chantry of St Louis have been discovered (and their defenses judged too much powerful for the Chantry to be conquered without overwhelming attack.
