City Secrets
Description: This Knowledge describes a character's knowledge of a particular city (you choose which); who is who, who has power, how its vampires relate to one another and what is going on. In Chicago by Night, this Knowledge was called Secrets. This Knowledge cannot be taken during character generation; it can only be obtained through direct experience. At the end of some stories, the Storyteller will announce the maximum number of experience points a character can allot to this Knowledge, based on what each character has discovered during the course of the story. Note that information about each Kindred community is a separate Knowledge; knowing about the Kindred of Chicago gives a character no information about the Kindred of Los Angeles, for instance.
●○○○○ 'Novice: Whelp
The character knows who is an anarch and who is an elder, and can identify some of the leaders of each group. Thus for instance the character can recognize the name of anarch leaders, but doesn't know the other members. The character knows very little of the city and its Kindred. Only a few faces and a rough understanding of the turmoil and antipathy.
●●○○○ Practiced: Naive or inexperienced
The character knows the conflicts between the anarchs and the elders. But knows nothing about shadowy figures behind the scenes. The character may know of certain relationships, but knows very little of the overall picture.
●●●○○Competent: You have an ear to the ground
The character understands that there are different groups among the Kindred, and that their conflicts dictate the ebb and flow of politics within the city.
●●●●○ Expert: Well-informed
The character know about many of the coteries and how they react to one another. The character knows about the primogen, but does not know how powerful and influential they are.

The character knows the politics of all the coteries in exact detail.
