Description: This ritual is perhaps the most ancient of the rites of darkness. Through its casting the shadow-magician summons the smallest and least significant of the alien entities of the Abyss. And through acts of darkness, pain and sacrifice gives brief form to them in this world as spies and sentries to the sorcerer who summons them. While the Eyes of Yaldabaoth are for all intents and purposes harmless, as motes of living darkness they are nigh impossible to detect at night or in a darkened chamber and are therefore ideal for reconnaissance and surveillance. In all the uncounted years since they were first summoned, shadowcasters have studied and chronicled the inherent nature of the Eyes and all such accounts bear a striking similarity, for these diminutive orbs of living darkness despise the light, hunger for the essence of the living and possesses an alien intelligence equal to, but dangerous to the minds of men.
