3/18/2013 Brian's Take
Woke up, trust me it's a relief every night. I cast some of my rituals while waiting for the others to wake. Angel was next just a few weeks ago but now Marius has been rising next. I spoke to him briefly about security and well being of his child. He sucker punched me with Morphius and left. I woke from day dreaming 10-20 mins later when Angel started looking around for an attacker that caused my condition. We quickly concluded that Marius sucker punched me so he could so something secret and most likely stupid. Only thing I can hope is that it does not come crashing down on me. (or anyone else I care about)
After Angel had a brief conversation with him, we continued to the nights activities. The Sabbet presentation of the objects of history is a reason in and of itself to risk coming here. I hope I get a chance to view it in more detail, not for the gain in power I could get over others but pure use of increase of knowledge. We did see the tome that had information on the forming and deeds of Dylan's pack....to bad we don't speak French....
We got a "bad" feeling while we were mingling. It felt like a great loss, and was connected to the vinculum. Angel went topside to summon Marius. At that same time I went to talk to Mercy, maybe point her towards Bellemare, but I was to late. Unknown to Angel and myself Mia had broke her enchanted slumber and come to the party. Mercy arrested her right in front of me for Heresy. Well shit, what is it with Marius and women?
Angel finds Marius and it turns out his mind has taken a vacation. He "knows" Angel enough not to attack him but is otherwise an animal. His mind has been stripped from him. Angel stakes him and hides the body for the moment till we are ready to leave. We finish up at the Litany and get a message to meet someone from 25:17 about our "problem". My first thought is "which one?".
Turns out they would like to help us with Mai, not for her benefit but ours. According to Yasmin the Black we are in real danger of being part of a witch hunt if we don't somehow silence Mai. Several plans were discussed but we decided that Angel and myself would go in and switch Mai with a vampire corpse. 25:17 would provide the corpse and a distraction and we would do the switch. I am still no clear why they are helping us, I assume boons are involved but they were not even negotiated, much less finalized.
We return to the villa to rest(with Marius's body). Both Angel and myself had thoughts that it was not a good idea to have Marius near us. I put up a quick circle ward while Angel tried to figure what happened to Marius. We did not have time to sleep somewhere else after all things were done. To bad neither of us have Protean or Visceratika... We were attacked about 1pm, both of us woke with no problem of course. With our options being very limited I suggested we collapse the building and hide in the mausoleum. Angel agreed and we collapsed the building and fortified the mausoleum. We woke and escaped the villa that night with little trouble.
Now we have fight to watch and a rescue to plan.
