Olivier
Sobriquet: Olivier
Appearance: Olivier is a powerfully build mature man with short brown hair, a little mustache, and brown eyes.
Olivier is dignified, and wears expensive clothes, even if he tries (weakly) to blend with the 'people' (i.e.: The other Kindred, including the so-called 'Noble Clans').
Behavior: Olivier is charming, and commanding. He appears to like everyone and everything around him. Even his lessors usually don't perceive that under his civility, he feels nothing but contempt for them.
History: Olivier was born from a Noble family, and was directed to a military career. He went to Paris, and became major of the Polytechnic School. Then, he entered the army, and reached the position of Colonel when he was confronted to the World War One.
He came back disgusted.
Not because of the atrocities of the war. Because those weaklings who pretended to be soldiers were unable to give their lives for their country. No matter their suffering. No matter the horrible conditions of their lives (and their death) in the war, for Olivier, they were rable, and did not reached the standards he felt they should have reached.
Olivier started to join royalists groups who wanted, at the time, to get back to power. France needed a Warrior King to lead the rabble to greatness, and for this, France needed a King, military leaders (i.e.: The Nobles) and spiritual guidance (i.e.: The Clergy).
Katarzyna discovered him when attending to one of the multiple Noble-only soirées, and found him both charming and worthy of her attentions. In 1924, after pooling together prestations, she asked him if he wanted to join the true nobility. When he learned about the story of Clan Ventrue, of how they have ruled Europe, and how now, degenerates of other clans used the lowly people and their revolution to usurp their right to rule. Of course, as a Noble himself, he had the right to become Ventrue, she told him. Of course, as a Ventrue, he would rule as king maker.
The Clan Ventrue welcomed the new recruit, and Katarzyna's Prestige increased as a result.
Olivier had a great potential, and even the Bourgeois Ventrue were eager to work with him. Olivier looked down at them, and spurned them. He then learned his first hard lesson: No matter how high you believe yourself to be, someone who dislike you will work hard to show it you.
Abdslam, who had been quite insulted by Olivier, ruined the financial resources of the Neonate. The two kept the affair private. Olivier then learnt humility and understood that he owed something to Abdslam. The Elder wisely kept his promise, and gave back some of Olivier's money.
Since then, Olivier is trying to build a power base, hiding his wounded ego of poor nobility behind his pride of poor noble. He is learning the Kindred Way, and is working hard to rebuild his financial independance, for he knows that as long as Abdslam knows about his assets, he will be under his influence.
Recent Events:
Notes: Olivier owes a boon to Abdslam: Not only the Elder ridiculized him in private by removing all his ressources, but he also gave him back part of his money. Now, while Abdslam never mentions it, Olivier always seems to feel his smiling eyes on him.
Since, Olivier united a coterie called the Club of the Damned around him: Marlène, Michel, Pedro and Emeline, and became its leader. Through them, he will conquer back his power as a Noble Ventrue, and nothing will stop him from removing Villon from the Blood Throne of France, and giving the Throne back to a faithfull and rightfull owner (i.e.: a Ventrue, of course).
Olivier contacted the Giovanni and cultivate a forbidden alliance...
Olivier is called the Colonnel because of his position in the french army on the WWI. Some other surnames, more bloody, were also given to him, because of his actions and the massacres his 'heroic actions' caused.
Olivier's Ventrue Weakness enables him to drink only from aristocracy.
