Niels Frank
- Paris -P- The Gangrel History of Paris -P- Gangrel
Sobriquet: Niels
Appearance: The appearance of Niels can be startling at first. He seems to be old and thin, well over his forties. In the other hand, his eyes gleam with vivacity, and his facial features demonstrate a quick mind.
He has a lot of animal features, but the most important are his cranium that changed slightly (the nose and the mouth are somewhat prominent, and his mouth is very large, opening well beyond his permanent fangs. His ears are long, pointed with hair on the tips. He normally wears his thick brown and grey hair in a crude ponytail.
While an Elder, Niels found leather comfortable, and black leather even better, so he normally wears black tight leather trousers, with black docs. He wears nothing, no T-shirt but his black leather jacket.
Behavior: Niels is a brute, and his heart is moved by instinctive passions. He listens to his Beasts will, and even if he still keep the control (most of the time) this gives him a fame of violent and primitive behavior. He has no patience for Intrigues and other petty games the Camarilla are fond of, and easily become angered when caught in this kind of web.
History: The history of Niels is shrouded in mystery. He arrived in Paris around the 15th century, and remained in the fringes of the city since then organizing around him the Clan, and becoming, naturally, their leader, as a wolf becomes the leader of the Pack.
But, lover of a slowly corrupted nature, he overlook the signs, as did his once-friends, the Lupines. Fighting for recognition and territory, the two entities exhausted each other to the point of extinction.
In the beginning of the century, he was alone, with two Childer, with Lupines whose numbers could be counted on the digits of the two hands.
Then he understood. The urges that possessed him were not his own. The influence behind him and the Lupine leaders had really nothing to do with the two people. Outside forces were at work, and made profit of their weaknesses and divisions to slowly destroy and corrupt what was once theirs.
Since the coming of that warrior bastard, David, and the winny Diane, the Clan's growth resumed, and of course, in parallel, the Lupine numbers grew, too.
While Niels understood that he failed as a leader, and through he feels awe and admiration over the Lady's doings and mastery over her Beast, his pride is such that he still believe he have the right answers, and that in times to come, he will lead both the Gangrel and the Lupine to clean Paris of the corruption that divided the two people.
He knows the other Gangrel respect him for his power, but that despise him for his Road of Enlightment. He does not care. The Road of the Beast is the true one, and to show how right he is, and how wrong they are, he started a philosophical quest to purge himself from his past sins, and to renew his bond with his Beast (Could it be Golconda?). For now, he is but one more Gangrel, and even as the others power are threatening his own, he believes his Beast will soon help him...
Recent Events: Time is of the Essence: Niels was born before the formation of the Camarilla, and he truly despise it and the other sects (such as the Sabbat, or the Anarchs). Also, as the Lupine grow restless and the Camarilla Gangrel whisper about defecting their Sect, Niels now believes the Camarilla is much to blame for the problems of the Gangrel.
He is a strong advocate for the Gangrel to quit the Camarilla and join the Lupines in their last, desperate battle. In this, at least, he agrees with the Lady.
