The Roads

A Path on the Road of the Beast

Sobrequiet: Hunters

Ferals who follow the Path of the Hunter dedicate themselves to exploring the Beast's predatory nature. They eschew reason and allow themselves to be guided by instinct. The world is divided into hunters and hunted, so they relate to others as fellow predators (worthy of respect) and prey (worthy of nothing but contempt).

Practices: Hunters often gather in packs of companionship, mutual protection and greater strength to hunt more dangerous prey (such as Lupines). To follow the path, one simply starts hunting, usually by joining a pack or retreating from Cainite society for a time and focusing on one's predatory nature.

Hunters are usually involved in the activities of the Road fo the Beast - attending gatherings, traveling to sacred sites and so on - but they regard with disdain any Feral who does not make his predatory nature the highest focus of his existence, regardless of whatever else he might do.

Predatory Virtues: Conviction and Instinct

Additional Ethics of the Hunter

  • You are a predator, and all others are your prey.
  • The Beast exists to aid you in the hunt. Master it as you master a hunting dog.
  • There is no shame in abandoning a hopeless hunt - as long as you return with a pack. no prey is safe from the Hunters.
