St.Calenda's Wandering Pageant, Odeum & Lunar Fair

Introduction

Few within the Twilight Fair seems to recall the origins of the Scouting Party,
but the oral traditions of the Fair point to the last years of the 11th century as
a likely time for its formation. The years following the First Crusade were turbulent
ones whether traveling by land or sea, merchants and pilgrims were vulnerable to
rampant piracy and the godless mercies of barbarian hordes.

For over two-hundred years the Scouting Party has provided the Twilight Fair with
both safer routes through often hostile territory and fresh venues for the Fair's
unique entertainments in an age of fanatical religious persecutions and virulent
warfare where the difference between life and death could be decided by those who
know the lay of the land rather than by those who wield a superior force of arms.
