Sobriquet: The Shiite for his religious beliefs.
Appearance: Faruq is a short hairy little man who strides like a lion among sheep. While attractive to some women, he is not especially remarkable in general and finds it easy to blend into crowds with the right clothing. His Moorish heritage is obvious to those born to the Magrib (North Africa), for his pale skin is a dead giveaway. However in most of medieval Europe he passes without remark save for his north African clothing or speech.
