Details

Location: In the warehouse district close to South Bridge. It is known for its merchant house thugs. It stands adjacent to the southern Wall.

Description: The inn is a three story building of brick and half-timbering, with a wooden tile roof and well-made wooden tables and chairs. A collection of tankards from many lands sits upon a shelf. Accomodations consist of several small rooms with wooden cots and a mezzanine with several wooden cots.

People

Innkeeper: Bradán - A thin little man in his middle fifties, most of the time he is quiet and unobtrusive, but if summoned to provide services or answer questions he is obsequious to a fault.

Bouncers: Gautbert / Rochus - The sons of Bradán the Innkeeper, they are both burly and act as the bouncers for the Crowning Spruce.

Staff:

  • Amelina - A busty and curvaceous, she is the inn's primary serving wench, she is looking for a husband and a good catch at that.
  • Dagmar - Another of the inn's serving wenches, she is attractive and smart, but young and inexperienced.
  • Hilda - The third of the inn's serving wenches, she is stout and strong, neither particularly attractive nor charismatic, she is hard working but blunt.

Performers:

  • Ermendrud - A beautiful and talented singer who worships unknown gods.
  • Lambert - An extremely attractive and well muscled musician.

Patrons: There are sixteen patrons arranged in pairs around the room.

  • Ampelios - A traveling Greek wine merchant who is a little too fond of his wares.
  • Cynefrith - A traveling peddler far from home, born with demonic blood in his veins, he is a hardy traveler who has seen a lot. {*}
  • Aurelius - A weak, but altruistic monk looking for love.
  • Ava - A red headed prostitute with a optimistic outlook.
  • Osbert - A down on his luck knight with a powerful build, but a shifty disposition.
  • Ekkehard - A tough mercenary haunted by bad memories.
  • Cunigund - A bored, but misguided and tolerant duchess searching for purpose; she is in disguise.
  • Fedelmid - A tough nun who has rare occult knowledge.
  • Ælfsige - A night watchman, of surprising grace and wisdom.
  • Reinhard - A tough former official who fell in with the wrong crowd and now finds himself demoted to night-watchman.
  • Ragnarr - An experienced, but biased thief who secretly worships forbidden gods. {*}
  • Wulf - A young tough from the streets, he a thief and brigand driven by his own demons. Recently, Wulf was nearly killed by an animate puppet and saved by Aleksandra Federov, a beautiful woman from a faraway land. {*}
  • Engelbert - A private boatman, with a flamboyant nature and sure hand.
  • Tofi - A fisherman estranged from his family, he knows the river well, well enough to be be afraid.
  • Asdis - The city's athletic and elegant rat-catcher, there is more to her than meets the eye.
  • Ari - The rat-catcher's boy, he is a young orphan who took a chance to learn a valuable, if unappealing trade.
