Bane Mummies

The Asekh-Sen were created as substitutes for the bane Mummies. Not full immortals, these beings usually resemble shambling corpses possessed by a Bane that fills the reanimated being with seething hatred for all life. They are generally used as shock troopers and hitmen for their creator.

Asekh-Sen are able to rise again from the dead for four times, because the rite that created them uses four canopic jars that are filled with various Banes over the course of their twisted unlifes. If an Asekh-Sen slays a mummy and fills some of its internal organs into one of the canopic jars, it gains an extra life. The more lives they expend, the more hideous they become.
