You have consumed the soul of another, and from that vicious act you have gained a wellspring of foreign memories. This mountain of experience could be from a single, potent soul, or from a number of lesser spirits that you have culled.
Memories resembles the Mentor background in that it offers the vampire information, but this interaction is completely internal. Remembering a specific event or fact in the foreign memory might require an Intelligence + Memory roll (difficulty 7).
The vampire might need to make a Wits + Self Control roll (difficulty of the level of the background +4) in order to sort these foreign memories from his own—a failed roll means that while he remembers the information, he believes that the memories are truly his own recollection and not the bastard remnants of a devoured soul.
· Recent memories (from the last few days) were gained.
·· Memories from months prior were assimilated.
··· Years of memories were garnered from the consumed soul.
···· A mortal lifetime was "ingested".
····· Memories from centuries of existence were stolen from an Elder Cainite.
