Nickname: Sam, occasionally "Sammy-Boy" from certain Scots.
Samuel Scott graduated from the The London School of Economics and Political Science at the top of his class in the late 1980's. His innovative use of advanced mathematics earned him a coveted place among the City's elite, and the attention of an ancient creature who had been left behind by the world's shift to a monetary economy. After the first time his prized ghoul was nearly killed, Richtor Jameson elected to protect his cash cow with the embrace. The next time, it was Jameson himself who fell to the fangs of the Sabbat. Samuel could only flee, as he felt the blood bond he was hardly aware of break as his sire was torn apart by creatures better described as demons than mere vampires.
In the intervening years, young Sam (as an accountant, he insisted on Samuel) has come to realize three important things: First, there are things far more important in the world than money. Second, he doesn't WANT to be an undead accountant. Third, he is in no way prepared to face things like what killed his sire. Given an immortal lifespan, it is inevitable that he will, so he has decided that his first priority is learning how to face the evils in the world. Through an unofficial network of young Ventrue, he has learned of the legend of the Daeva, and thoroughly buys into the idea that clan Ventrue is the bulwark standing between civilization and demon-infested chaos. He wants to do his part in something that matters.
In pursuit of this, he has contracted a series of mortal instructors to teach him to fight. Though he has gained a modicum of skill, the need to keep his instructors from discovering his true nature has hampered his growth, and his body is still quite unsuited to the rigors of combat.
Appearance: Sam is a short, slight man who would fit well into the ranks of the bullied underclass of most secondary schools in the first world. He has short, fly-away brown hair and a vaguely unfocused gaze, usually hidden behind the latest computerized glasses. He tends toward business casual, often forgoing the blazer with his button up shirt and loose tie.
Recent Events: In 2029, Sam approached the archon Brian O'Reilly, in hopes that the great warrior would consent to train him in the art of Ventrue combat. When O'Reilly began teaching classes, he became the most enthusiastic, though hardly the best, student. Though he is ill used to physical activity (either as a mortal or a vampire), he has joined the Archon's knightly order.
After the War: Samuel intends to take a much needed break from nightly violence and return his focus to business and politics. Particularly, he is using his wealth to back the political aspirations of other members of the Knights of the World Tree.
