Joshua Tarnopolski, also known as Blackjack, is a Cainite from Chicago. He is progeny of the infamous anarch, Tyler.
During his lifetime, Tarnopolski was one of Chicagos leading socialists at the turn of the century. His passion and political maneuvering earned him the Embrace from Tyler, who decided to preserve some his passion forever and his face as not as well known as those of other leaders of the socialist party. The embrace was acknowledged by Lodin in exchange for services against Modius of Gary.
