Description: The dismissal is a mystical agreement between the necromancer and the wraith summoned to depart with no intent to return or cause harm in return for a gift of willpower. The ritual is heavily shrouded in pomp and symbolism, but ultimately it is a bribe to leave and not return; if the wraith accepts the bribe then it is bound by this covenant until his next encounter with the necromancer.
Origin: This ritual is my creation, but obviously countless variants exist.
Ingredients: A simple verbal agreement between the Wraith and the necromancer.
Casting: The spell is enacted through the Principle of Authority and requires spoken allusions to legendary agreements between the gods and the spirits of mortal men; essentially, the necromancer takes on the role of a death god and offer the wraith a boon of willpower to leave, if it accepts then it is bound by the letter of the agreement.
System: Intelligence + Rituals = 5 and successes represent the binding strength of the agreement. If the ritual is successful, the necromancer sacrifices a point from his willpower pool and the wraith automatically gains a point in his or her willpower pool.
Reference: Clearly, this ritual is based on “Speaking Well of the Dead”.
