Description: St. John's Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Middle Village (Queens, NY) that was established in 1879. It has long had the dubious distinction of being the prime choice of burial grounds for New York City's mafia, the final resting place of such notable names as John Gotti, Carlo Gambino, Paul Vario, Lucky Luciano and Carmine Galante - among many others. Perhaps not so coincidentally, it's also home to several prominent New York politicians.
