Description: There are two words in a magnate's vocabulary, distinction and influence. The magnate believes himself to be quintessentially distinct and superior from the masses of humanity, discovery to the contrary can be devastating to the magnate and will likely drive him to pursue a radical course to alleviate that circumstance.
Influence is the other side of the magnate, he seeks power to influence the actions, opinions and thoughts of those around himself, not so much for the purpose of control as to prove to himself how special he really is and because the magnate is an irrepressibly social creature.
