History: What happened next. I was seriously fed up with my boss. He was a misogynistic asshole that only got the promotion because he was had worked there the longest. Once he was a position of power I knew it was only a matter of time before I needed to find a new place to work. Unfortunately I didn’t find that new place quickly enough. It was a Wednesday night, with clear skies and good weather. I remember this very clearly. I also remember that Eric grabbed my ass for the last time that night. Thank god we were in the kitchen were the customers couldn’t see us, although now I don’t know why I cared so much. Anyway, he grabbed my ass and I lost it, I turned with my serving tray and swinging for his nose and struck him on the left side of his face. You need to remember, I grew up on a farm and I still work out so I am no light weight. Eric dropped to the floor and blood came pouring out of his nose. I didn’t wait to see if he would get up. I’m strong but I’m still a girl and smaller then Eric, if he really wanted to he could clean my clock. No, I ran out of the restaurant into the alley thinking I would be able to catch a bus back to my apartment. That’s when she came. I didn’t see her face but I saw her clothes. Dressed to the nines she swooped (almost literally) out of the darkness and grabbed my face. She pulled my head so far to the right I thought she was going to snap my neck but then her face was buried in my neck and it was only pain.
I don’t know what happened after that. Only that I woke up covered in cardboard boxes next to a dumpster in an alley I didn’t immediately recognize. It was still night, although I came to learn it was actually a whole 24 hours later soon after waking up. It’s been a rough ride since then. Learning what I was, trying to understand how to survive and above all getting through each day, or should I say night?
