The Hideous of Paris -P- Gargoyles -PLBE- The Hideous of Paris 1900

Sobriquet: Khaar

Appearance: Even among his peers, Khaar is great. Among the greatest warriors, he can still stand out. He is a giant of grey stone, with wings so big he can cover himself with them like a stone-like cloak. His eyes gleam red as his Protean power is always active.

Khaar wears nothing but a belt and pouches.

Behavior: Khaar has been a warrior, and a general, leading armies of Gargoyles against the Tzimisce, then the Tremere, and then the exodus to better lands where the Warlocks would not threaten the Bloodline. He is now a wise Elder, calm and strong.

His voice is something between the growl of a predator and the sound of stone moving against stone. He is intimidating, but soon enough, his friends find him a scholarly thrust. Despite the fact that he remembers little of humanity, he now tries to learn everything he can, and this shows in his etiquette and behavior.

History: Khaar never talks about his past. It is believed he served the Clan Tremere in its war against Clan Tzimisce, but somehow, he developed enough willpower to fight the slavery of the Warlocks. Among the first rebels, one of the greatest in strength and height, the Gargoyle called himself Khaar, and never forgot to scream his name when hacking Tremeres into pieces.

He arrived in Paris around the 16th Century, and settled there. With time, the number of Gargoyles grew, and they all swore allegiance to their leader. Khaar accepted the show of respect, but refused, arguing that now each one was her own master, and free to do what she wanted.

Khaar had met the Nosferatu, and soon, the Clan and the Bloodline joined, the Gargoyles serving as guardians, and the Nosferatu teaching them the secrets of Obfuscate.

But the Tremere still remember Khaar. Despite the fact the Gargoyle is now meditating about his past, about good and evil, the Warlocks still remember the dozens Tremere who died by the hand of the giant Gargoyle, and they offered great prizes to the one who could bring them the head of Khaar.

Surprisingly, François Villon stopped the hunt, and accepted the presence of the Gargoyles as full Kindred. As such, their destruction, and the call for their destruction would be seen as a breach of the Sixth Tradition. The Tremere were outraged, and the Nosferatu surprised.

Now, Khaar still walks alone in the Catacombs, meditating over existence. He knows that despite Villon's protection, the Tremere want him and the whole clan dead or in slavery. Perhaps it is time to war, once more...
