Bulgaria

Gabrovo is a small, largely mountainous province sandwiched between Veliko Turnovo to the north and east, and Lovech to the west. With the destruction of its capital, its population has plummeted to about 60,000, and much of the countryside has been poisoned and is unfit for habitation. It's economy has traditionally been based on textile mills, and has been hurt badly by international competition. The province's population is concentrated in the northern municipality of Sevlievo. The province is undergoing political reorganization, and may soon be renamed.

Gabrovo Grad was the provincial capital. In December, 2016, it was destroyed in a military VX gas strike by a rogue element of the Serbian military. Until then, Gabrovo had been experiencing a renaissance, growing in population as new industries opened factories and facilities.

The City of Sevlievo has become the province's new capital. It's population has been stable and prosperous for decades despite Bulgaria's tumultuous economic history. A pair of vampires is known to reside in the town. A Ventrue known as Evangeliya oversees the town's business interests, while a Toreador named Ioan Stancioff patronizes the area's tourism. Their gala marriage was a major event in 1987, attended by most of their neighbors, including many from the Southern Court.

There are two other towns of relative size in the province, the City of Dryanovo to the north-east of Gabrovo Grad and the City of Tryavna in the south-east.

The Ghost Riders were a dangerous gang of motorcycle hooligans who also happened to be a band of free range ghouls who would attack and feed from virtually any vampire they encountered. They eventually took to hunting vampires actively and incurred the wrath of one of the Tzimisce elders of a neighboring province. They were caught and turned over to that elder Fiend by Gabrovo's former masters.
