Appearance: Syd is a wide man with bulging muscles. His wavy dark hair is usually styled so as to cast his face in shadow, and he emphasizes his bulk with generally intimidating movements. He usually wears cheap gray suits. When he wants to, he can move surprisingly fast for such a big man.
Behavior: Where there is money, there are Ventrue, and most of the money in Leeds is in crime. When compared to the moguls and nobles of London, Sydney Heath is a different breed. Syd is more at home interrogating a deadbeat in a smoky back-room than a corporate boardroom. He is one of several Ventrue who have become wealthy off of the suffering and sweat of the people of Leeds. He has many rivals, and even a few true enemies.
History: Sydney Heath was born shortly after his father, a local rural farmer, returned home from fighting the Germans in France at the close of First World War. The farmer weary from war and seeking only a quiet life of labor chose not to question his wife when she named the child after a historical personage in the hope he would make something of himself. The farmer raised the boy as his own and put him to work early as was the local custom, but from the beginning honest labor didn't suit Sydney at all.
Syd has seen a few things, and has begun to realize that things get significantly deeper than most of his contemporaries realize. He has little personal stake in the fate of London, but realizes that the Archon Brian O'Reilly is a good friend to have. Maybe if he can make this knighthood thing work, they'll scratch his back in return.
Sydney has decided to remain in London and close to Brian O'Reilly for several reasons. The most important are that he wants to learn to follow the Road of the Aesir, and avoid the Brujah Primogen of Leeds, who has taken a personal dislike to "Scyssor" over some decades-old slight.
Recent Events: Sydney is currently in torpor and may remain that way for some time to come.
